Siemens healthineers: Start from a healthcare noivce
I joined Siemens healthineers innovation think tank team, a streamlined yet versatile team, as innovation think fellow in the middle year of 2020. During my six months internship, we closely worked together to leverage the innovation projects that aim to promote the company missions that expanding precision medicine, transforming care delivery, improving patient experience, and digitalizing healthcare. My project works are under non-disclosure agreements, therefore I could not share more detailed information with you. But I would like to briefly summaries my responsibilities, accomplishments and reflections through this fruitful journey.

For AI development projects, I involved three major projects that use machine learning to improve patient experience, precision diagnosis ,and online coaching efficiency. I actively led the redesign of patient flow in fever clinic with the help of facial recognition that contributed to automation of the clinical pathway. Besides, we implemented machine learning in automatic grading of Knee osteoarthritis, leading to overall 84% detection accuracy and 82% grading accuracy to promote precision healthcare.
At the spare time, I also took the visual design role in our team. The responsibilities ranged from the design and typesetting of public newsletter, workshop pamphlet, poster, and ITT annual exhibition. During the past five month internship, I successfully support team leader to hold two innovation workshops, one design thinking workshop, and one hackathon campaign to ignite cross-departmental innovation. That by merging experts from diverse domains with favorable discussion schedule to spark disruptive yet qualitative thoughts. Our proactive innovation framework were highly appreciated by Chief Technology Office of Siemens Healthiness.
